1.
Cicatriz 03:56
It was a yes or no. It was a black or white. It was a good idea. It was a plebiscite. It was a low turnout. It was a devastating blow. It was cruel and calculating. But what do I know. If you want to know my heart, as long as you can feel, you can touch my cicatriz. That will never heal. The day you turn your back, the second that you ran, it was a synonym for over. And the centerfold, and the charlatan, with the lion’s body, and the head of man. It was a Billy Butler moment. That’s what I was told. Darkness drops again. The center cannot hold.

You’ve been wagging the dog. I’ve been living on edge. You’ve been bringing me down standing out on the ledge. You were dropping the bomb. We were dropping the ball. Every day is a test, and we’re failing them all. Just so you know, it feels like a major disaster. It feels like we’ve crossed way over the line. And god only knows, it’s some kind of daily catastrophe. Feels like I’m going out my mind. And we just let it go. You’re never honest, and we are so far gone. You’re not an artist. You’re just running the con. Letting it go.

I build the highways. I build the roads. I move the earth. I carry the load. I build the bridges to connect the broken land. I did it like you said. I did it like we planned. I build the engine. I lay the track. I haul the rail. I put it on my back. I light the fire to light the way. Build a world over a lifetime. Watch it burn down in a day. Oh oh oh the fire again. For the children of men. Oh oh oh the fire again. Oh oh oh. I get maybe five hours of sleep, and spend four hours on the train. My body aches, but I ignore the pain. You ignore my cries. You get all my disdain. I sound the whistle. Signal sent in vain. My wife at home with a baby on the way. See my wife for maybe three hours a day. And I’ve got debts that no honest man can pay. Build a world over a lifetime. Watch it burn down in a day. Oh oh oh the fire again. For the children of men. Oh oh oh the fire again. Oh oh oh. Might not come tomorrow. Might not come today. But one way or another, there’s gonna be hell to pay.
